Building a Family at Crestwood

Diona Cozzolino says there was absolutely no other option on where to deliver her second child, a baby girl due in early September, after such a pleasant stay just twenty months ago for the birth of her first child. A little over two years ago, Cozzolino conceived son Brolin, with the help of infertility specialist, Dr. Andrew Harper. Just five weeks into her first pregnancy, she had to be admitted for a routine procedure. During her five day stay at Crestwood Medical Center, she immediately fell in love with the hospital, the Maternity Center, and the staff. Cozzolino said, “After my first real experience with Crestwood, there was no other choice on where to deliver my son.”

During her pregnancy, she took part in the pre-natal classes provided by Crestwood and benefited greatly from what they had to offer. Cozzolino and son, Brolin, still frequently visit the Crestwood campus for play group sessions at Crestwood’s New Mom’s Support Group every Thursday from 11am-1pm. She loves the interaction Brolin gets with other children, as well as the bond all the mothers now share. Cozzolino cannot wait until she gets to bring her daughter there in the near future.

She said her stay at Crestwood was pleasant, great, and intimate. Brolin had to spend two days in the Crestwood Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to receive a round of antibiotics, but Brolin had no reservations; she knew the nurses would give him all the extra care and attention he needed for a speedy recovery. So, when asked where she would deliver her second child, Cozzolino replied, “There was never any doubt, I’m choosing Crestwood Maternity Center.”
