Valley Babies Celebrates a Milestone

The first year of your baby’s life is an amazing time. You and your baby go through so many changes as you learn and grow together. Nothing compares with the thrill of seeing your baby take her first steps or hearing him say “Mama” for the first time. That first year of life is filled with the excitement of new discoveries every day.

Sometimes, though, you experience intense frustration when your newborn is crying and you can’t figure out what’s wrong. Or perhaps you’re having a hard time with nursing. You might even feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the task you’ve undertaken as a parent. That’s when you need a strong support network to help you keep perspective.

Even though I’m past the baby stage with my family – my youngest child will turn 9 in September, I have experienced some of those “first time mom” feelings this year with Valley Babies. This issue marks the one year birthday for Valley Babies. I have certainly learned a lot about what it takes to produce a magazine! There is so much I didn’t know, but I’ve had a great support network and lots of encouragement on this journey.
