Life is a team effort. If ever there was a need for smoothly functioning team work, it is during the birth of a baby. Every team member has a critical role to play to assure the safest, and most comfortable birthing experience possible. At The Pavilion for Women and Children, the obstetrician heads a team comprised of a labor and delivery nurse, nursery nurse and anesthesiologist. The pediatrician and the nursery staff will ensure appropriate care for newborns after the birth.
The Pavilion offers seven private LDRP rooms, where women labor in a special birthing bed, recover and remain with their babies. Specially trained nurses are there to provide individualized care and comfort during this special time. Once your baby has arrived, a lactation consultant will be close by for guidance and encouragement if you choose to breastfeed.
To top off your stay in The Pavilion, we pamper you with a gourmet dinner for two and a wonderful post delivery massage for mommy.
Every parent wants the very best when they bring their new baby into the world. It’s comforting to know that The Pavilion for Women and Children at Parkway Medical Center is North Alabama’s finest. For more information please contact The Pavilion, 301-3499.
