Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is the region’s largest birthing and pediatric center. Our facility’s design is a blend of state-of-the-art medical technology with the look and feel of home.

Our clinical pediatric staff is devoted to caring solely for infants, children and adolescents, featuring north Alabama’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Emergency Room. In cooperation with Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc. we provide pediatric transport services through the Kids Care program. The Kids Care ambulance is designed with the pediatric patient in mind, featuring child-sized equipment and a brightly designed exterior. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened its fifth outpatient clinic in the nation at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children led by a pediatric hematology oncologist.

We provide the only specialized Antepartum Unit in the region to meet the needs of women with high-risk pregnancies. Every year almost 5,000 babies are born here. For our critically ill newborns, we have north Alabama’s only Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our Women’s Center provides classes on pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.
