Summer is a wonderful time for you and your baby. You will be fascinated by Jennifer Funkhouser’s account of her toddler’s learning to swim. Of course, we celebrate Father’s Day in June. In honor of that we have a couple of articles that focus on Dad’s role. This issue also features wonderful information about the Huntsville Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Swim for Melissa fundraiser which Valley Babies is proud to sponsor.

In our last issue we told you about Celebrate Mama! On May 3 we had 36 vendors at the Von Braun Center offering unique, interesting and unusual Mother’s Day gifts. The Regal Nisan/Mercedes Benz of Huntsville Silent Auction for Choose Life of North Alabama had some wonderful bargains. All in all, we raised about $3000 for Choose Life.

We also dealt with a very controversial topic in the last issue, vaccinations. The response to this article was intense and varied. We love receiving your letters and try to print as many of them as we can. Thank you so much for writing!
