Crestwood Hospital

With pregnancy comes months of planning and preparing your life, home and body for your new bundle of joy. After the baby registry is complete and names have been chosen, it’s time to begin preparing for the delivery of your baby.

At Crestwood, we offer several prenatal classes to help parents-to-be prepare for delivery and life at home. Prepared Childbirth is a four week course that provides expectant parents with knowledge of the stages of labor and birth, hospital procedures, anesthesia, relaxation skills and comfort measures. Newborn care is designed for first time moms and dads. This two hour class covers baby care basics, car seat safety and SIDS prevention. Sibling Class is designed for preschool and early elementary school-aged children and can help moms and dads prepare older siblings for the birth of a little brother or sister. Breastfeeding Class provides moms and dads information needed to make an informed decision regarding feeding their baby including the necessary skills to ensure success with breastfeeding. Crestwood also offers a free weekly Mom’s Support Group which meets every Thursday from 11a.m. – 1p.m.
