Valley Babies Serves the Community from Jail!

Glenni Lorick

I went to jail for the first time this year, but it definitely won’t be the last! I joined other business owners for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s East
Huntsville Executive Lock-up. Okay, the truth is, I don’t really see myself as an executive, but they invited me to participate, so I did! In fact Angel Hundley, owner of The Little Gym, was my cellmate. It was actually a pretty luxurious jail…at the Early Works Museum. I am so grateful to everyone
who helped bail me out – together we raised nearly $3000 for the MDA.
One of my guiding principles with Valley Babies involves looking for ways to give back to the community by helping organizations who help parents and children here in North Alabama. In this issue you will read about the March of Dimes and an upcoming promotion they have. Get involved and plan to wear your blue jeans to work on November 14!

You will find a lot of valuable information for your baby’s first year in this issue. You’ll also read about a couple of exceptional babies and their incredible parents. Don’t miss our top picks for Christmas gifts (Yes, it’s already time to start thinking about that!) As we approach Thanksgiving, take time to reflect on the blessings that you have every day because of the precious children entrusted to you. Let us know what you want to see in Valley Babies. We love hearing from you!
